“I am Abraham Lincoln”
Yadina is horrified when part of the playset she borrowed from her friend drops down into the sewer. She doesn’t want her friend to get angry, so what should Yadina do? To the Secret Museum! Our heroes are sent back in time to meet one of Yadina’s personal heroes: Abraham Lincoln. When we meet a young Abe, he is reading a book that he borrowed from his neighbor, one that soon becomes ruined when a leak in his roof drips rainwater all over it. Abe is distressed about the accident, but it doesn’t take him long to realize what he needs to do: tell his neighbor the truth about what happened. Watching Abe own up to his mistake inspires Yadina to do the same because even when it’s hard, it’s important to always be honest.
“I am Jane Jacobs”
Xavier, Yadina, and Brad build a fort for them all to play in, but the small space doesn’t work at all: it’s overcrowded with toy cars, has nowhere to sit, and contains snacks that only Yadina likes. The friends need some serious fort-building help…to the Secret Museum! Our heroes are sent back in time to meet someone who knew a lot about building communities that work for everyone: Jane Jacobs. We meet a young Jane as she builds a miniature city for her imaginary friends, making sure her cardboard metropolis has everything that each of them needs, either within walking distance or an easy shoebox-streetcar ride away! Watching Jane carefully plan out her city inspires our trio to go home and rebuild their own fort by thinking about what everyone needs.
