WPBS-TV, Watertown Public Broadcasting, is pleased to welcome Michelle Todd as the station’s new Family Learning Coordinator. Michelle joins WPBS-TV with a Master of Education and over five years’ experience as an educator.
“We are thrilled to welcome Michelle to WPBS,” said Lynn Brown, General Manager at WPBS-TV. “Michelle brings a creative perspective on education that will better serve our broadcast community.”
Ms. Todd has taken on the responsibility of facilitating WPBS’s renewed commitment to education through the promotion of GPS for Success SM; a collaborative program developed in partnership between Jefferson-Lewis BOCES, the Northern New York Community Foundation, and WPBS-TV to assist students in Northern New York and young adults become career-ready. She will lead WPBS’ School Service Committee; an ongoing collaboration among local school districts, coordinate the development of learning materials and curriculum for educators, parents, and the community, and act as a liaison between the station, community partners, and National PBS Educational Initiatives.
Ms. Todd says: “She’s grateful to be a part of the WPBS team” as her new position “provides her with the privilege and opportunity to use her passion for life-long learning to make a positive and meaningful impact on others.”
