WPBS-TV Presents “WPBS Rocks!” – A Triple Play of Classic Rock Concerts

WATERTOWN, NY; June 2, 2022 – WPBS brings classic concert performances from David Bowie, Prince and members of the Beatles. WPBS Rocks! on Sunday, June 5th with three back-to-back classic and seldom seen concerts that music fans won’t want to miss.

6:00 PM – London’s Royal Albert Hall hosted the Concert for George in November 2002 – a momentous evening featuring Harrison’s songs and music he loved. Performed by Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Jeff Lynne, Billy Preston, Tom Petty and many more.

8:00 PM – David Bowie: Serious Moonlight showcases Bowie at the height of his powers on the 1983 Serious Moonlight tour, supporting the release of his new album, Let’s Dance in Vancouver, BC.

9:30 PM – And closer to our region – Syracuse’s Carrier Dome was the site of Prince and the Revolution: the Purple Rain Tour, which was beamed to millions via satellite in March 1985. This Grammy-nominated film has gone down in history as one of the most iconic live recordings in pop and rock history.
