WPBS-TV kicks off the Holiday Gift Auction

WATERTOWN, NY; November 30, 2021 — WPBS-TV, the PBS affiliate serving Northern New York and Eastern Ontario is pleased to announce the kick-off of the annual WPBS Holiday Auction – with online previewing of items available  NOW.

Every year, WPBS auctions off special gift items, baskets, furniture, antiques, certificates and more. Many items are GREAT for holiday gifts and most have been donated by local small businesses.  All items – including unique creations of artists and craftspersons – are being auctioned off to benefit WPBS and educational public media in our region.

Participating in the WPBS online Holiday Auction is as easy as a click via computer or mobile phone.  To register go to wpbstv.org/auction.  A preview of items and registration is now live. Anyone who is unable to access the online guide or needs assistance bidding, please call 315-782-3142 ext. 301 or ext. 319.

The schedule for open bidding and on-air previews is as follows:

Monday 12/6  – 7 pm – 8 pm – LIVE Kick-Off & Bidding Opens
Tuesday 12/7 – Saturday 12/11 – 7:30 pm – 8 pm – Showcase
Sunday 12/12 – 7 pm – 8 pm – LIVE Close

All six nights of on-air programming  will also be streaming on Facebook and at wpbstv.org.  Bidding on all items will close on Sunday, December 12 at 9 PM.

Since 1958, WPBS has contributed to the quality of life across the region with the finest commercial free children’s programming, trusted news and current affairs, music and performance programs, stories of local interest, lifestyle and health series, and exceptional science and history documentaries.
