WATERTOWN, NY; April 18, 2022 — WPBS-TV, the PBS affiliate serving Northern New York and Eastern Ontario with the finest public media content, today announced the kick-off of the WPBS Fundraising Auction. Online preview and registration is now available.
Participating in the WPBS Auction is as easy as a click via computer or mobile phone. To register go to wpbstv.org/auction; once registered you can preview all 700+ auction items. Online bidding starts on April 24th. Anyone who is unable to access the online guide or needs assistance bidding, please call 315-782-3142 ext. 301 or ext. 319.
The live broadcast of the auction on WPBS will take place over 8 consecutive evenings from Sunday, April 24th through Sunday, May 1st from 7:00 – 8:00 PM each evening. All items will close on Sunday, May 1st at 9:00 PM.
Since 1958, WPBS has contributed to the quality of life across our region with the finest commercial free children’s programming, trusted news and current affairs, at-home remote learning, music and performance programs, stories of local interest, lifestyle and health series, and exceptional science and history documentaries. All of this has been made possible through the generous support of thousands of community members and businesses.
The Auction also celebrates and showcases the exceptionally talented and hard-working entrepreneurs and creators of our region. All proceeds from the auction help WPBS continue to provide quality educational programs and initiatives at no cost to everyone across Northern New York and Eastern Ontario.
