WPBS-TV and NCLS to Host Screening of Butterfly in the Sky: The Story of Reading Rainbow in Lowville, NY

WATERTOWN, NY (November 7, 2024) – WPBS-TV and the Northern New York Library System (NCLS) are excited to invite the community to a special screening of Butterfly in the Sky: The Story of Reading Rainbow on Thursday, November 14th at 7:00 PM. The event will take place at the Lowville Town Hall Theater, located in Lowville, NY.

This documentary film explores the legacy of Reading Rainbow, the beloved children’s television program that inspired countless children to develop a lifelong love of reading. Hosted by LeVar Burton, the show became a cultural touchstone and a powerful tool for literacy in homes and classrooms across the country.

In addition to the screening, attendees can enjoy a variety of fun activities, including: Trivia, Prizes, a Selfie Wall, and more.
