October 28, 2015 Watertown, NY – WPBS is pleased to announce the Explore the Region: Buy it Local Auction on Friday and Saturday, November 13th and 14th from 6 – 11pm each evening. WPBS will be partnering with individuals and organizations on both sides of the border to call attention to the local artisans, attractions, handcrafted items and local food products that define the wonderful culture of our two nation region. Donations include wares from the Corning Glass Museum, Michael Ringer, the Bay House Artisans, Denise Smith Silver Jewelry, food from the 3 Bears Gluten Free Bakery & Café, Thousand Islands River Rat Cheese, Bella’s Restaurant, attraction certificates from Deep Down Divers, Singer Castle, Kingston 1000 Islands Trolley Tour, Painted Pony Rodeo, and much more!  Information on these items and hundreds more can be found on the online Buyer’s Guide at www.wpbstv.org/buyitlocal.
Each night, Jay Matteson, Agricultural Economic Developer for Jefferson County Economic Development and host of The Home Grown Show on 790 WTNY AM, will present on-air samplings and demonstrations of local products.
