WPBS-DT’s Discovering Watertown Premiere party

Watertown, NY- September 12, 2016, WPBS-DT, the North Country’s public broadcasting station, announces a new three-part documentary series, Discovering Watertown.  This documentary chronicles the fascinating and rich history of Watertown, New York in three, thirty minute episodes and is scheduled for broadcast in November 2016.

Be among the first to enjoy a sneak preview before the broadcast premiere! Join WPBS-DT and community partners for the Discovering Watertown premiere party at the Hilton Garden Inn, Thursday, November 3rd at 5:30pm. Enjoy a cash bar with passed hors d’oeuvres, signature themed cocktails, re-enactors from the documentary, a “retro” candy buffet, dinner, dessert and the screening.  Dinner will be served at 6:30pm, at which time the screening of “Discovering Watertown” will begin. This screening will feature highlights from each of the three parts of the documentary series and the evening will conclude with a panel discussion and dessert. Tickets are $40 per person can be purchased at wpbstv.org/tickets.

WPBS-DT is also inviting the community to submit historic photos of Watertown from the 1970’s and earlier.  Photos should feature landmarks, architecture, events or interesting people. All photos received will be displayed in our special online gallery at wpbstv.org/discoveringwatertown and may be selected for use in Discovering Watertown, Photos can be submitted online or call us at 315-782-3142 ext. 247 for assistance in digitizing your photos. A maximum of 10 photos per person.
