Watertown, NY — WPBS-DT is proud to release our new Local Content and Service Report for fiscal year ending 2011 to the entire broadcast community.

This report contains the services WPBS-DT provided to our broadcast community and our viewers from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011; everything from great resources for parents, children’s events, teacher resources, community outreach, local productions and more. The vital services provided to the community are what make us a community-owned PBS station – direct resources to our community and local control over broadcast schedules.

WPBS-DT’s Local Content and Service Report to the Community will be an annual publication, based upon the past fiscal year’s activities. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) has assisted in the implementation of this report which allows stations to communicate the value of the work we do each and every day in an easy-to-follow annual report. Some of the testimonies included allow readers to see the impact we have in the hearts and minds of consumers of our services.

The report can also be found online at www.wpbstv.org under the About Us menu, within ‘Our Station’ and ‘Public Forms,’ and in our ‘News’ menu.

WPBS-DT is a non-profit public television station serving approximately 650,000 households throughout Northern New York and Eastern Ontario. WPBS-DT’s mission is to educate, entertain and inform in order to enhance the lives of those it serves.
