Due to the serious and rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the WPBS All Star Auction. A long standing and beloved tradition which marks its 50th anniversary in 2020, the auction was scheduled for April 18th through 26th but will be postponed until a later date.

The auction, conducted on air over nine consecutive evenings, involves live bidding for several thousand items, and requires a large team of staff and volunteers in the WPBS studio. The energetic and enthusiastic participation of many individuals and members of business and non-profit organizations is integral to the auction, but under the present circumstances would of course be impossible. We determined it would be best to postpone to a later date when we can again come together for this important fundraiser that supports the educational mission of WPBS and its service to our region.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to the people and families affected by this pandemic and we deeply appreciate the healthcare workers and everyone in our communities working to contain this coronavirus.

We also want to thank the many local businesses and individuals who have supported the auction with their donations. Small businesses will be especially challenged during this difficult time, and we urge you to support and patronize them if you can.

WPBS will continue to serve our region during this difficult time with the finest educational and information content. We will get through this, together.
