WPBS-TV, the Public Television station in Watertown, New York has added another station to the premiere broadcast of their new four-part local snowmobiling television series in conjunction with Lewis, Oswego and Oneida Counties and Old Forge, New York.
WCNY-TV, the Public Television station in Syracuse, New York will air Snow Country New York on Sundays at 7:30 pm beginning January 8 for 4 weeks and will rebroadcast on WCNY-TV, Time Warner Cable channel 854 on Fridays at 7:00 am, 3:00 pm and 11:00 pm for 4 weeks beginning February 24.
Those in the WPBS-TV viewing area can find Snow Country New York on Thursdays at 7:30 pm beginning on January 5 for 4 weeks and will broadcast again on Saturdays at 8:30 am beginning January 14 for 4 weeks. A third rebroadcast is yet to be scheduled; most likely on Sunday afternoons.
Local trail systems have also been featured in the 11 week national cable series, Snow Trails TV, which began October 16 on Sunday mornings at 7:30 am on FSN North, FSN Detroit and MSG PLUS. On October 14 MSG PLUS began rebroadcasting the series every Friday at 9:00 am. The local episode has already been shown twice and viewers can find it again on Friday, December 2 at 9:00 am and once more on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at 7:30 am.
The cable series Snow Trails TV focuses on the unique trail system’s offered in each county while the four, half-hour, episodes of Snow Country New York will expand on additional topics such as where and when to ride, the sport as a family activity, sights to see, things to do, the economic effects of the sport and snowmobiler safety.
