Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi, D-Ill., asked the U.S. Secret Service director to comment on several conspiracy theories around the July 13 assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump.
Director Kimberly Cheatle confirmed in a hearing before the House Oversight committee Monday that the agency has not found evidence that the incident was a staged shooting, nor was it a conspiracy carried out by high-ranking government officials. Cheatle also said there’s been no evidence that the shooting was done by a foreign state or entity
