During his testimony before the House Intelligence Committee, Marie Yovanovitch, the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, that the U.S.’ Ukraine policy “has been thrown into disarray, and shady interests the world over have learned how little it takes to remove an American ambassador who does not give them what they want.”
Yovanovitch was forced out of foreign policy position after a smear campaign spearheaded by Rudy Giuliani, President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer.
The impeachment probe centers around a July phone call in which Trump asked the president of Ukraine to investigate former vice president and 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.
