John Legend and Shelia E. performed at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Wednesday, a night focused on fighting “for our freedoms,” from democracy to reproductive rights and more.
The musicians performed a cover of “Let’s Go Crazy” by Prince, a Minnesota native. That state’s current governor, Tim Walz, will also formally accept the vice presidential nomination Wednesday night, a day before Vice President Kamala Harris takes the stage as the official nominee.
