Golden State Ballet principal dancer Tara Ghassemieh is used to taking command of the stage. But recently, she stepped into a new role: pacifist-activist.
Ghassemieh says she is the first and only Iranian American principal ballet dancer in the United States. She has decided to use her platforms on and off the stage to highlight the history of ballet and social injustices in Iran.
