WATCH: Harris’ former colleagues and friends speak at 2024 Democratic National Convention

Former colleagues of Vice President Kamala Harris spoke Thursday on the final night of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, an evening focused on the future as Harris formally accepts her party’s nomination for president.
Speaking in testimonials about Harris’ commitment to upholding the law were Amy Resner, a friend of Harris; Karrie Delaney, the director of federal affairs at the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network; Lisa Madigan, the former Illinois attorney general; Marc H. Morial, president of the National Urban League; Nathan Hornes, a former student at Corinthian Colleges; and Tristan Snell, a former New York assistant attorney general.
Harris’ speech Thursday is her first official chance to offer her vision for the country to voters. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz formally accepted the vice presidential nomination the day before.
