Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., gave opening statements Sept. 15 before the Senate Judiciary Committee as lawmakers examine if the FBI mishandled its investigation of former USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar, who was convicted in 2018 of sexually abusing women and young female athletes in his care. She said every individual in the FBI who “turned a blind eye” is complicit to Nassar’s abuse and should be considered predators.
