WATCH: ‘Cowboy culture and stigmas around mental health #shorts

Suicides account for more than half of all gun deaths in America, and in 2021, more than 80 percent of all gun suicides were among white Americans, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data.

In Dan “Danno” Hedrick’s home state of Wyoming, where he lost his own brother to a gun suicide, he told @wbrangham that when you combine the “cowboy-up” stigma towards mental health with widespread access to guns, it can create a tragic “perfect storm.”
