The Vote: Enacting Change Then and Now

American Experience is proud to present a virtual conversation on the fight for women’s suffrage and the importance of the vote in 2020 with President of the Brennan Center for Justice and author Michael Waldman (The Fight to Vote, 2016) and writer/journalist and author Elaine Weiss (The Woman’s Hour, 2018) on Thursday, October 22 from 7-8pm ET.

We will discuss and answer your questions about what drove the decades-long campaign for the vote, what we’ve learned from the suffragist movement and how it influences our experience today—the impact of the 19th amendment on voting access and social change.
