Russians are crossing the border into Georgia to avoid military conscription following President Vladimir Putin’s mobilization order to increase the number of soldiers fighting in Ukraine.
The estimated wait to cross the border was 48 hours at one point on Sunday.
“We are completely against this war. For us, like for others, it’s scary. To die and to kill others, and for what? We don’t understand. Therefore, we decided to flee,” Dmitry Kuriliyunok told the news agency Reuters.
