WPBS-TV staff and board made a commitment to invest in facility updates in the past year. It was decided that the priority was to have a room on-site large enough for staff development & training and board meetings. WPBS-TV partnered with the Jefferson County BOCES Technical Center to renovate and build the new James W. Wright Community Room at WPBS-TV.
Additional Community Supporters are: DC Building Systems, Inc., Aubertine & Currier Architects, Scott Brown Drywall, Inc., Whites Lumber, Walmart Store No. 5497 – LeRay, and Derouin’s Plumbing & Heating.
The new James W. Wright Community Room at WPBS-TV is important because it enables us to have a state-of-the-art meeting room big enough for our own board of trustees. “Until the community room was completed, we did not have a meeting room that could accommodate our entire board and staff for meetings” announced Mr. Hanley, President & General Manager. In addition, it also provides other large community groups a place to meet, host workshops, panel discussions and take advantage of professional development and training opportunities. The James W. Wright Community Room is open to the community for use. Simply call and request a facility usage form or obtain one on-line at wpbstv.org.
“In order for WPBS-TV to provide modern services to their geographic area, the building in which they operate must be brought into the 21st Century.” ~Aubertine & Currier, Architects, Engineers & Land Surveyors, PLLC
WPBS-TV is thrilled with the completion of the new James W. Wright Community Room and even more thrilled to offer the use of the room to other community groups who may be in the same situation we were in until the room was finished. For more information about the James W. Wright Community Room contact Christine Rolfe, Administrative Assistant at crolfe@wpbstv.org.
