Michigan doctor explains how her hospital provides care for children with cancer

Alissa Martin is a pediatric hematologist and oncologist at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Her job is to help families through the most difficult time of their lives — helping their children through cancers or other blood disorders. Martin explains to students at Royal Oak High School about the processes of the hospital and how doctors get to intimately know patients and their families.

Produced by Zoe Kernohan, Kit Goolsby, Meg Veryser, and Morgan Sullivan at Royal Oak High School in Royal Oak, MI. Instruction provided by SRL Connected Educator Michael Conrad.
