WPBS-DT, the Public Television station in Watertown, New York announces their latest endeavor in conjunction with Lewis, Oswego and Oneida Counties and Old Forge, NY to produce a four-part local snowmobiling television series, Snow Country New York (w.t.). The partnership will include local trail systems in two episodes of the national series, Snow Trails TV; a snowmobile reality television and web series airing on 30 PBS stations across the United States and Canada.

The television programs are being produced this winter for broadcast next year and will feature snowmobiling on trail systems in Lewis, Oswego, Oneida and Herkimer Counties. Several local Trail Coordinators and Snowmobile Clubs will guide the production crew to specific areas and trails, and several local businesses will be providing accommodations and meals to the crew during their week long stay.

The two, half-hour national episodes of Snow Trails TV will focus on the unique trail system’s offered in each county while the four, half-hour episodes of Snow Country New York (w.t.), to be aired on PBS stations across New York State, will lend itself to additional topics such as where and when to ride, the sport as a family activity, sights to see, things to do, the economical effects of the sport and snowmobiler safety.
