A pair of organic gardeners decided to pass their Heritage Seed collection to the Kingston Area Seed System Initiative or KASSI. It was a significant event in the preservation of local agricultural diversity in Canada. Today, KASSI shares local seeds with farmers, market gardeners, schools and more to promote growing healthy local food.
