Mark takes another swing at getting on Jake’s good side, but Jake still has some reservations about the new man in his mother’s life.
As Vivien and Mark grow closer, her kids become progressively more unhinged. Vivien’s inquisitive neighbor Mary does some investigating of her own. Episode 2 premieres Sunday, October 11 at 9/8c on MASTERPIECE on PBS.
Starring are Francesca Annis as Vivien; Stephen Rea as Vivien’s new boyfriend, Mark; Imelda Staunton as Vivien’s neighbor, Mary; and Claudie Blakley, Russell Tovey, and Lydia Leonard, who play the grown-up children of Annis’s character. David Bamber is the detective who tries to work out whether an unfortunate incident was an accident or a heinous crime.
