WPBS-TV is pleased to announce free kids’ Art Workshops around the premiere of a brand-new PBS Kids series, “Pinkalicious & Peterrfic.”   WPBS-TV will hold screenings of “Pinkalicious & Peterrific” on Sunday, February 18th and Monday, February 19th at 10am and 1:30pm in the WPBS-TV studios, located at 1056 Arsenal St., Watertown, NY. Following each screening, children ages 5 to 9 may participate in a children’s art workshop; space is limited to 25. In addition, we’ll have a workstation for 10 children ages 2-4. Each child who attends the screening will receive a free Pinkalicious or Peterrific book. Children participating in the free workshops will also receive complimentary art supplies to take home. The screenings and art workshops are free and open to the public.  Each screening is limited to 100 children. Reservations are required for both the workshops and screenings.  Workshops are conducted by local author/artist Wilson Bickford host of Painting with Wilson Bickford.

“Pinkalicious & Peterrific” follows the adventures of Pinkalicious and her brother Peter. Pinkalicious imagines creative possibilities everywhere she looks. She is an artist at heart – and, like most creative people, she sees the world differently from others. She knows what she likes, and she’s not afraid to express herself – though she sometimes needs help from her brother, Peter, and her neighborhood friends. Get a sneak peek at this new series slated to begin airing Monday, February 19th 2018 at 9am.  For more information about Cinema Six and upcoming children’s events, please visit wpbstv.org/cinemasix.

These projects are made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by the St. Lawrence County Arts Council.
