President Joe Biden has announced sweeping new tariffs on $18 billion dollars worth of Chinese imports, including electric vehicles, steel, aluminum and solar cells.
The move builds on tariffs put in place during the Trump administration. They’re aimed at slowing the flood of low-priced Chinese goods in U.S. markets.
The new tariffs will be phased in over the next three years.
