Animal Rehabilitation at the Chattanooga Zoo

The effect that human activity has on wildlife is a growing problem and a serious responsibility. For animals that have been injured, orphaned, or are ill and can no longer care for themselves while living in the wild, there are people like Lacey Hickle, a veterinary technician at Chattanooga Zoo, who provide them medical care during their rehabilitation. She explains her role and responsibilities to a group of students from Dalton Middle School.

Produced by Monica Hernandez, Iris T. Trejo Vega, Linda Olvera-Jones, Leslie Hernandez, and Susan Gonzalez at Dalton Middle School in Dalton, GA. Instruction provided by SRL Connected Educator Gina Gray. Station support provided by Shaun Townley from Tennessee Chattanooga Instructional Television.
