Poetry has a special place in the heart of Afghans. It has played a prominent role from the country’s ancient history to its present day. But when the Taliban took over, many of Afghanistan’s most popular poets had to flee. They are now figuring out how to find inspiration in exile and are using poetry to channel their pain. Ali Rogin reports for our arts and culture series, “CANVAS.”
