Hiding razors, slashing veins, causing chaos. That’s what Stephen Kirkley is up to in solitary confinement. Stephen is one of the worst behaved inmates in the solitary unit of the Maine State Prison. He’s serving a five year sentence for robbery. He says he causes trouble just to let the guards know he can. Maine State Prison is trying to reduce the number of inmates in solitary. This is how they’re working with Stephen.
