Vice President Kamala Harris recalled the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection while delivering her so-called closing arguments against her opponent, former President Donald Trump to voters Tuesday.
“We know who Donald Trump is,” she said. “He is the person who stood at this very spot nearly four years ago and sent an armed mob to the United States Capitol to overturn the will of the people in a free and fair election he knew he lost.”
Harris aimed to draw a stark contrast with Trump by speaking at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C., the same site where Trump spread lies about the 2020 election and incited the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack.
