Vance declines to say Trump lost 2020 election | CBS Vice Presidential Debate

When asked by Gov. Tim Walz on Tuesday if former President Donald Trump lost the 2020 presidential election, Sen. JD Vance said that he was “focused on the future.”

“That’s a damning non-answer,” Walz responded.

Vance said during the CBS Vice Presidential Debate that while “Donald Trump and I think that there were problems in 2020” and that he was happy to discuss it further, he considered the Democratic Party’s attacks on First Amendment rights to be threats to democracy. Exhaustive analyses by election officials and journalists and have found no widespread instances of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election, which was won by Joe Biden.

This video was produced by Casey Kuhn, Erica Hendry and Dan Cooney.
