Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump met for their first and possibly only debate on Sept. 10, hosted by ABC in Philadelphia. The Democratic and Republican presidential nominees sparred on a series of issues for nearly two hours, ranging from immigration, abortion and the economy. At one point in the debate, Trump said “I probably took a bullet to the head because of the things that they say about me” being a threat to democracy. Harris used the debate to stress that a vote for Trump would be “going back” to inflammatory rhetoric and actions, like that of the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection. Watch these key moments from the Sept. 10, 2024 debate.
