Where Trump stands on immigration policy

Former president Donald Trump and the Republican Party solidified their policy positions at the Republican National Convention in July. That includes a plan to “seal the border and stop the migrant invasion.”

Trump’s immigration policies are centered around a few ideas: mass deportations, using rhetoric that alienates migrants and shutting down the U.S. Southern border.

PBS News correspondent Lisa Desjardins explains how those policy points could be implemented if Trump were elected president again.
This video was produced by Casey Kuhn, Yasmeen Alamiri, Julia Griffin and Travis Daub.
