A few days before D-Day, a pilot in Sergeant Melvin “Mel” Jenner’s squadron asked if Jenner would fly a top-secret mission on June 6. Accepting the invitation, Melvin was tasked with flying up and down the French coast photographing the historic invasion. 80 years later, during a visit back to Normandy, France, Jenner recounted his memories of D-Day and the heroes, he said, who gave there lives that day.
