WPBS-DT, Watertown, PBS, announces the 46TH Annual All-Star Auction, which will air live April 16TH – 24TH, 6 pm to midnight on weekends and 7 pm to midnight on weekdays. Donations from local businesses in northern New York and Canada will be auctioned off during this nine-night event.  Viewers will be able to phone in and bid on hundreds of items!  New for 2016 are “quick bid” numbers that will replace the past “express bid” numbers, which allow auction buyers to quickly place bids over the phone.  Past auction buyers will receive their new “quick bid” number in the mail.

MVP donors will be showcased each evening of the auction, along with specialty themed boards, including Admission Tickets, Travel, Clothing, Crafts and much more!  The All-Star Auction also features the favorite Wheel of the Night and Community Chests, which are live auctioned every night at 8pm.  Volunteers in studio will also be able to experience the PBS Pop-Up Lounge, a digital lounge showcasing station content and the WPBS-DT Mobile App, across a variety of platforms. Viewers will be able to preview items available during the auction on the All-Star Auction Buyer’s Guide available at wpbstv.org/buyersguide.  Tune-in for the 30-minute All-Star Auction Preview Show airing Thursday, April 7th at 7:30pm; Saturday, April 9th at 6:30pm; Sunday, April 10th at 3:30pm; and Friday, April 15th at 10:30pm to get a sneak peek at some of the items up for bids.  View the All-Star Auction Preview Show online at our YouTube channel.

There is still plenty of time to become involved in the All-Star Auction!  Feature your business to thousands of people across northern New York and eastern Ontario.  A donation valued at a minimum of $50 gives you exposure that could otherwise cost hundreds.  Your donation is tax deductible and helps WPBS-TV purchase the programming that you love to watch on a station that you know and trust.  If you are a business and would like to donate an item, are interested in volunteering, or would like to provide additional sponsorship, please contact Peggy Brouty at pbrouty@wpbstv.org or call 315-782-3142 ext. 301.  Volunteer sign-up and donor forms are also available on-line at wpbstv.org/allstaraucion.
