Watertown, NY- February 11, 2016 WPBS-TV, the North Country’s public broadcasting station, announces Fishing Behind the Lines: Season 2, with host Don Meissner, a 13-part high-definition series.
In each episode, active duty and retired servicemen and women share their experiences in the military, while fishing is introduced, while featuring one of the most popular outdoor activities. Fishing Behind the Lines, Season 2, tells their stories, from their lives serving in the United States Military and Canadian Forces, and their overall life experiences. The series highlights active duty or retired service members from different branches of the military, including the Coast Guard. Host, Don Meissner, and his guests enjoy a day of fishing on one of the Great Lakes, regional streams, or rivers. The series will do much to link the military and civilian communities, and foster national pride.
Fishing Behind the Lines: Season 2, with host Don Meissner, will begin airing on WPBS-TV, Monday, March 14th at 7:30pm, re-broadcasting on Saturdays at 7am. WPBS-TV will also provide a comprehensive web component to this series beginning March 14th. Viewers will be able to visit wpbstv.org and learn about each of the guests appearing on the series, watch fishing tip videos provided by host, Don Meissner, learn about the different species in the area, browse a business guide, and research NY fishing regulations.

Don Meissner, the host of WPBS-DT’s Rod & Reel Streamside for 18 Seasons, has vast experience hosting his own show.
