Former president Donald Trump’s vice presidential pick, JD Vance, is a junior senator from Ohio who will debate Democratic vice presidential nominee Minnesota Governor Tim Walz on Tuesday.
The campaign hopes Vance will drum up excitement with a younger Republican base, PBS News correspondent Lisa Desjardins said.
“What the Trump-Vance campaign has to do this time to win, is they have to get more voters to the polls than they did last time,” she said.
