Vice President Kamala Harris’ vice presidential pick, Tim Walz, is the governor of Minnesota and will debate Republican vice presidential nominee, Ohio Sen. JD Vance on Tuesday.
The campaign hopes Walz will appeal to voters as an “everyman persona,” according to PBS News correspondent Laura Barrón-López.
“Walz explains in very simple and direct terms and makes the argument that a second Trump term would mean that they meddle in public schools” as well as reproductive health care, she said.
