2024 WPBS KIDS Writers Contest Opens December 18, 2023

WATERTOWN, NY (December 18, 2023) – Calling all aspiring young authors! The annual WPBS KIDS Writers Contest will open early this year – Submissions will be accepted December 18, 2023 through February 9, 2024.

The WPBS Writers Contest is a much-loved tradition at WPBS, and an unmatched opportunity for budding young authors to express their creativity. The contest is open to students in Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades who live in the WPBS service region of Northern New York and Eastern Ontario.

This contest consists of one round of local judging. Authors will be judged on their stories’ creativity, originality, and development. First place prizes will be awarded to the students with the highest score in each grade level. Winners will be announced in early March and their entries will be celebrated on WPBS!
