2023 PBS KIDS Writers Contest is Now OPEN!

WATERTOWN, NY (January 20, 2023) – Calling all aspiring writers! The annual PBS KIDS Writers Contest is officially open, so if you like to share stories and create illustrations, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

The annual WPBS Writers Contest is a much-loved tradition at WPBS, and an unmatched opportunity for budding young authors to express their creativity. The contest is open to students in Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades who live anywhere in the WPBS service region of Northern New York and Eastern Ontario.

Entries can be submitted by mail to WPBS KIDS Writers Contest, Attn: Justin Keegan, 1056 Arsenal St., Watertown, NY, 13601 or email to WPBSWritersContest@gmail.com. Submissions will be accepted through March 31, 2023.

Authors will be judged on their stories’ creativity, originality, and development, and there are prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Winners will be announced in early May and their entries will be celebrated on WPBS during the months of May and June!
