WPBS-TV and the Watertown Daily Times present More to the Story: Small Farms, airing on WPBS-TV on Sunday, July 22nd at 6:30 pm, rebroadcasting on Saturday, July 28th at 6:30pm, and streaming online at watch.wpbstv.org. This edition of More to the Story takes a look at the circumstances dairy farms face on a daily basis. Watertown Daily Times Journalist, Emily Griffin, speaks with both large and small multi-generational farmers to gain insight on not only the fiscal conditions local dairy farmers must consider, but the emotional conditions as well. The program covers dairy statistics for Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence counties, how farmers feel about the 2018 Farm Bill, and the plunge in dairy prices due to surplus milk production. Look for the print edition in the Times Sunday, July 22nd. In September, More to the Story will feature Life on a Freighter in the passage from the Welland Canal through the 1000 Islands to the Eisenhower Lock in Massena.  The television edition will air on September 16th and 22nd at 6:30pm.
