Former President Donald Trump closed his time at the the CNN Presidential Debate with a promise that if he’s president again, the nation is “not going to be failing anymore.” He ended with his signature, “We’re going to make it great again.”
Trump’s closing statement bounced from the American withdrawal from Afghanistan, to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, from “the largest regulation cut in history” to his high approval among veterans.
The June 27 CNN Presidential Debate was the first time Biden and Trump faced off this election season. It was also the first debate between a sitting and former president.
