The 2020 presidential race features Republican incumbent President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden, the Democratic nominee. Their running mates — incumbent Vice President Mike Pence and Democratic Sen. Kamala Harris of California — faced off in the vice presidential debate.
The vice presidential debate gave the candidates a combined 90 minutes to answer questions on a variety of topics such as the COVID-19 pandemic, policing, the economy and climate change. Moderated by Susan Page of USA Today, it took place on Oct. 7, 2020 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
