Established in November 1998, The Monieson Centre at Queens School of Business, Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario brings leading academic research to business, government, and community audiences to create value through knowledge. The Centre focuses on research themes related to the knowledge economy - how to harness the expertise of individuals, organizations and communities to create knowledge capital. Acclaimed researchers study issues such as governance, corporate culture, innovation, change management, human resource management and economics. Issues are studied theoretically and practically. The result is innovation, insight and understanding to grow business, inform policy, and revitalize industries and communities. The Monieson Centre is located at Queen's University within Queen's School of Business.

Host:  Donald C. Alexander is a consultant and business development specialist and co-owner of Brownville Specialty Paper Products, Inc., and serves on the board of directors of the Northern New York Community Foundation, Henry Keep Home, Watertown Rotary Club, Ives Hill Retirement Community, and is chairman of the North Country Healthcare Network Advisory Board.
