Arts & Crafts Rug in Ivory & Rust - Item # 109 Ethan Allen, Fayetteville - Value $1340 The Arts and Crafts movement influenced all aspects of design - carpets and rugs included. The designs are nature-based patterns featuring exaggerated or stylized flowers, vines, leaves, trees and animals. The palettes would have also lent themselves to the earth-based elements of air, earth, and water. This rug is no exception! It measures 5'9" x 8'9" and comes to us from India, where it was hand knotted. The material is New Zealand wool face and it's just stunning! A great rug for your dining or living room. The top is a piece of an old shuffleboard table and is 2-1/2" thick, made of laminated maple. The legs are yellow birch.
